Our Mission

At Donnelly Group, LLC, our systems engineers provide cost-effective lean solutions that improve efficiency and increase profitability for nationwide manufacturers in the consumer products and material handling industries.

Our main goal is to give your manufacturing and packaging facility an edge when it comes to competition and profitability by supporting your automation needs from the ground up. We design, develop, automate, integrate, program, configure, monitor, execute systems integration, and modify existing controls structures, all with the newest intelligent systems.

Combined Specialties

Our engineering team is highly experienced with new and legacy systems. We specialize in PLCs, PACs, HMI, SCADA, and Servos; vertical transfers, machine systems, barcode scanning/RFID, sortation, VFD motion control, data mining/marriage, legacy system migration, and factory web apps. We are also proficient in process tracking, MES integration, conveyor systems solutions, and a long list of software and hardware.

Paul Donnelly

Owner, Senior Systems Engineer, 17 years

Paul graduated with a BSME from Missouri University of Science & Technology. He studied Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on machine design and automation. After graduating, he began working as a control systems engineer for a company based in St. Louis servicing the automotive sector.

He is a St. Louis native who has been married for twelve years and has two children. He enjoys boating and the feeling of freedom riding his Harley Davidson brings when he’s not traveling for work.

For nearly 20 years, Paul has traveled North America working with an array of clients in the consumer goods, food and beverage, and automotive industries. His experience in systems engineering and industrial automation ranges from simple testbench automation to continuous process systems and skids, to more complex machine programming involving coordinated motion.

Andrew graduated from the Missouri University of Science and Technology. He studied Mechanical Engineering with some emphasis on Controls Systems before graduating. Fresh out of school he moved to corn country to work as a Process Engineer before moving to St. Louis to marry his wife of 15 years and help raise 2 children. It was in St. Louis that he began pursuing his passion for automation.

Andrew has traveled North America working on various incarnations of industrial automation from moving boxes to automotive assembly lines including electrical systems design, PLC/HMI programming, vision system integration, and more. In 2016, he began working with Donnelly Group to further his pursuit of automation zen.
